Ahoy Mateys! Welcome to our long-awaited website serving the New Zealand Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
We are the first of what we hope will be many Pastafarian Churches in New Zealand – each with its own flavours and special doctrines, just like other religions.
If you were unaware, we already have an international Church schism – those who support plastic, coloured colander headgear and those who hold fast to the traditional stainless steel.
This Pastafarian Kiwi congregation is Reformed – aye, we have parted from the orthodox gospel of the American Church in several significant loose canons. Our tenets reject the existence of heaven and hell (no beer volcanoes or stripper factories). Of doctrinal importance is our belief that the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) is gender-less – that’s right definitely not a He (like every other religions’ deity). Sadly our English language cannot cope with this gender-neutral status so we must use the less than ideal pronoun It when a pronoun is called for.
